Umami Burger

Umami Burger, named "Burger of the Year" by GQ magazine, is a revolutionary burger concept by Los Angeles-based restaurant creator Adam Fleischman, a self-taught chef and successful food and wine entrepreneur. Umami is a Japanese word describing the pleasant and savory taste imparted by glutamate, a type of amino acid, and ribonucleotides that occur naturally in foods. The result is a sophisticated, tightly edited selection of burgers, sides and accompaniments. Conceived as "fine-dining fast food," Umami's first location on La Brea Avenue opened in 2009 and today there are multiple locations in a variety of markets.

Hotels

Over the past ten years, the Nimes team and its affiliates have made investments in over 20 hotel projects totaling over 7,500 rooms. While these investments have been in a variety of product types, Nimes is particularly noteworthy for its backing of the launch of successful "lifestyle" hotel brands including SLS Hotels and the Viceroy Hotel Group. Nimes has developed a strong internal asset management expertise through its oversight of acquisitions, redevelopment, property management transition and day-to-day operations of its numerous hotel investments. Current hotel investments include the SLS Hotel @ Beverly Hills, the SLS South Beach, the Redbury in Hollywood, Four Points by Sheraton at LAX, Sheraton Oklahoma City and the DoubleTree in Albuquerque.
